GB's women were convincing winners over Japan this evening, having snatched an amazing win against the USA in their morning match. It's been a perfect day for Great Britain's curlers. The men's team were comfortable winners over the USA to end with a 5-4 record, which may be enough to send them through to the semi-finals.

Team GB have already surpassed their medal haul from the previous Winter Olympics, but those athletes will not earn extra money for finishing on the podium. The British Olympic Association is one of three national Olympic committees that do not pay prize money.
