British actress Jane Lapotaire, who had notable roles on “Downton Abbey” and “The Crown,” has died. She was 81. Lapotaire died on March 5, according to the Guardian. A cause of death was not provided.
Her acting career began on the stage when she landed the role of Ruby Birtle in "When We Are Married" at the Bristol Old Vic in 1965.
